Petrol Water Pump Prices In Kenya
Grekkon Limited’s petrol water pump prices in Kenya are for high and low pressure irrigation water pumps. These petrol water pumps for sale in Kenya are from various manufacturers in Malaysia, Italy, Japan, and the UK. The high-pressure petrol water pump models feature open impellers suitable for pumping lightly silted water which is common in most farms. Our gasoline water pumps have a four-stroke air-cooled engine that excels in pumping irrigation water in small to medium sized farms. Unlike the heavy diesel water pumps, they are light and highly portable so that they can irrigate from any direction, to make work easier for the farmer
When selecting your gasoline water pump for irrigation, it is important to understand these 5 pump specifications. They are;
- Head in meters or bars which is the pressure rating. It determines the force of the water from the pump
- Discharge rate, which is the amount of water the pump will provide over a given unit of time. Some are given in litres per minute, and others in cubic litres per hour
- The horse power (Hp). This is the engine power from the engine that drives the pump attached to it. The higher it is, the more powerful the pump is
- The inlet and outlet pipe diameters. The former guides you on the suction pipe diameter to attach, while the latter gives the reticulation pipes diameter from the pump
- Suction depth or lift. It is a measure of how deep the pump will draw water. This guides on the suction pipe length and depth
Our portable petrol water pumps are self-priming ideal for small to medium acreage irrigation. Gasoline pumps have low fuel consumption with a suction lift of 7.5M to 8M and an outlet diameter of 2”. They are easy to maintain with no special tools required, besides regular servicing after every 100 hours of use.
Below is a tabulation of our irrigation water pumps for irrigation and domestic use
Petrol Water Pump Prices In Kenya
Petrol water pump prices in Kenya are categorised separately for high, and low pressure pumps
1. High-pressure gasoline water pumps
These gasoline pumps have a lift/ head that exceeds 50M. Head is a measure of how high a pump pushes up water vertically at 90 degrees angle. The higher it is, the greater the pressure exerted by the water pump. They are used to drive irrigation water over a steep elevation or height. High-pressure water pumps have a double impeller, and low water volume discharge, which is below 40 cubic litres per hour. Before settling for one, the farmer must understand the farm elevation, so as to match it with he right water pump to chieve the right water pressure

The high volume discharge over cubic litres per hour, whle the low volume models provide a lessor discharge. Low-pressure water pumps have a single impeller

Petrol water pumps carbon emissions
The downside of petrol water pumps is CO2 emissions, which contribute to global warming, the chief reason for negative climate change being experienced today. To calculate the quantity of CO2 emission from a petrol water pump, multiply the fuel usage in litres by a factor of 2.305. For example; a pump that consumes 100 litres of petrol per month emits 230.5kgs of CO2 emissions monthly
Hello.. i need a pump to suck water from a depth of 50mtrs high and to supply 400meters along. Any suitable pump to recommend on?
Good morning Captain,
Please elaborate what you mean by ‘a depth of 50M high’
Is it from a pumping depth of 50M, or a pumping head of 50M?
Best regards,

Which pump will suit my conditions. A river down a very steep slope, and the farm is gently slopy 300 meters away.
Total length approx 350 m.
Need to reserve the water in 4500litre tank so that the water flows with gravity to sprinklers .
Kindly advice, include the prices
Good morning Arthur,

Can a 7.5hp pump effectively operate a rain gun?
Good evening Charles,
Our 7.5Hp petrol water pump for sale in Kenya will run a 1″ to a 1-1/2″ rain gun sprinkler. It is the number of rain guns that will differ according to the sprinkler size, water pump pressure rating, and flow rate

Hello. I need to pump water from a river to a farm. From the river the slope to the level surface is about 15 m, from this point to the farm its about 150m. I estimate the vertical height from the river at 10m. Will the low pressure pumps be effective KATO or AICO? Thank you.
Good morning again Robert,
Yes, both low pressure petrol water pumps will deliver your water. What irrigation system will be using with the pumps, or are you just delivering to storage? This will affect your choice between high and low pressure types

No irrigation system at the moment, might consider that in the future. I presume that even with an irrigation system I will still need to pump water to a storage tank? Will this pumps serve the purpose? Thank you
The Honda Daishin is listed as low pressure but the head is 32M.
Your rainguns need a min head of 30.
Will this pump then run your guns?
I need a high pressure pump with a capacity of say 60cubic m /hour.
My farm is 200m by 400m generally flat.
I
Good evening Edward,
This Daishin honda water pump will not power rain guns because the pressure rating is insufficient. We propose a diesel water pump for this if you’re doing a large rain gun (from 2″), or more than a unit of the 1.5″ rain gin sprinklers. See our diesel water pump prices in Kenya in this link, then advice us on your choice: https://grekkon.com/disel-water-pump-prices/
