All our drip fittings are reputable for quality and ease of use. We tailor them from our several manufacturers with specifications for the African grower. Each fitting has a specific role in the drip irrigation system.

Categories of Drip Fittings

• vegetable drip fittings. These are used on 16mm diameter, 0.2mm, 0.3mm, and 0.4mm thick pre-perforated (with emitters) drip pipes, commonly installed in vegetables
• fruit and forestry crop drip fiings. These are used on 16mm diameter, 0.8mm, 0.9mm, and 1mm thick drip pipes, commonly installed in tree crops

Types of drip components

I. Vegetable Crops

1. Starter connector. The starter connector is a grooved accessory on both ends. A rubber fits the short end to connect to the PVC or HDPE water pipe. The long end is connected either directly to a drip line, or to a riser
2. Off-take. It connects the riser to the drip line
3. PE to drip mini valve. Just like the starter connector, this connects the PVC or HDPE water pipe to the drip line. It has two grooved ends, one short and the other one long. Just like the starter connector, it supplies water to the drip line from the mainline. The difference is that it has a tap to regulate water flow on the drip line.
4. Rubber/ grommet. It is the seal that prevents water leakage between the water supply line and the starter connector or mini valve. The ‘H’ type or ‘T’ type rubber works here.
5. Drip connector. It joins one end of the drip line to another.
6. Drip end cap. As the name suggests, it is installed at the end of the drip line to keep water within the drip pipe.
7. Drip to drip elbow. This is connected to create a bend along the 16mm PE pipe
8. Drip to drip tee. This allows for 3-way water movement along the pipes

 

 

II. Fruit & Forestry Crops

1. PE to PE connector. It joins one end of the 16m PE pipe to another
2. PE to PE minivalve. This connects the PVC or HDPE water pipe to the 16mm PE pipe. It has two grooved ends, one short and the other one long. It regulates water supply to the 16mm PE pipe from the mainline or sub-mainline.
3. PE end plug. It is installed at the end of the 16mm PE pipe to keep water within the pipe. It is inserted permanently at the end of the pipe
4. PE end line ring. This is a number eight shaped accessory where through which the PE pipe is bent at the end. This is preferred to an end plug where the farmer intends to open the end of the 16mm PE every so often either to flush it, or join it o another line. This accessory is easy to remove.
5. PE to PE elbow. This is connected to create a bend along the 16mm PE pipe
6. PE to PE tee. This allows for 3-way water movement along the pipes

Our drip fittings are designed to withstand high water pressure along the irrigation system. They do not disconnect, leak, or tear apart under high pressure. We sell them as part of the drip irrigation kit, or by themselves.
