Grekkon Limited’s silage bags, tubes for sale in Kenya feature specific UV treatment. These polythene bags specifically designed to withstand tear for durability are supplied as white/ silver on black or as black on black. The former is designed for outdoor use so that the brightly coloured surface reflects off excess heat. The latter is best for indoors silage making where heat is lesser

We provide dairy livestock specifically made airtight silage polythene tubes. These bags are for both indoor and outdoor use for making livestock silage

Our silage tube sizes are 1.5M x 1M for the white on black type which holds 350kgs of livestock crop silage material. The color is white on black so that the white remains on the outside to reflect excess heat. Black on the inside to keep it warm. This is for dairy farmers doing outside storage

For those storing dairy livestock silage material indoors, our small bag for sale is black on black. It absorbs heat at room temperature and retains it. This bag size is 1M x 1M in dimension, to hold 200kgs of silage matter. Our silage bags prices in Kenya differ according to size. This is given in details below

Farmers who buy silage tubes by Grekkon Limited enjoy useful for many cycles of silage storage because of the anti ultra violet (UV) treatment. This treatment prevents the degradation of the bags by harmful UV rays. It is important in tropical conditions where UV radiation is intense.

Steps for making silage
    1. Harvest high-quality forage when it’s in excess of feed requirements
    2. Wilt the forage to 30% dry matter (DM)
    3. Chop the forage into short lengths (1–3 cm)
    4. Compact the forage as tightly as possible to remove air
    5. Cover the forage with a thick plastic sheet
  • Weigh down the forage
  • Wait for the forage to ferment
