Each borehole solar water pump has a motor. This motor’s power rating is provided in Kilowatts (kW) or Horsepower (Hp) and this determines the number of solar panels used to power the pump. For example, a pump that has a power rating of 2,700 watts will use 10 solar panels of 400 watts each. Note that the solar panels provide 4,000 watts, more than the 2,700 watts required. The reason for this is to compensate for any power loss, and ensure that what gets to the solar pump’s motor is 2,700 watts

This is the pressure rating provided in meters. It is a measure of how high the solar pump pushes up a given volume of water vertically at various depths. I live around a kilometre from the lake shore and on a hill that is around 30m from the water level. Can I get a good solar system that can pump through a 2inches pipe without batteries? Mine is a 150 feet well and would like to install a submersible solar powered pump, to pump into a 1000 litre pump per day. The water level is currently at a height of about 25-30 feet. To give your an accurate solar submersible water pump cost, please provide us with the elevation height in meters. Download an 'Altimeter' app. Take the above sea level readings at the river, then at your parent's house in meters. Deduct the 2 variables to get the slope height.
